Is animal care your passion? New courses open at TAFE Queensland
Turn your love for animals into a career!
This is for you, animal lovers! 🐶
According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the number of people working as animal attendants and trainers is expected to grow strongly in the future. There are likely to be around 12,000 job openings in this growing occupation over the next five years.
Our partner TAFE Queensland is now offering Certificate III in Animal Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing to international students. This is a great opportunity to develop the skills to care for a variety of animals, as well as an understanding of the administration and business side of the industry.
This course will give you the specialised knowledge needed to work as a vet nurse and provide nursing care to animals. You’ll learn how to support hospitalised animals through their medical procedures, prepare animals for surgery, assist in surgical nursing procedures, and monitor patients when under anaesthesia.
You’ll also discover how to perform clinical pathology procedures, prepare equipment and animals for x-rays, and carry out veterinary dental nursing procedures. The passionate team of industry professionals at TAFE Queensland is the best in the business, and will give you the one-on-one guidance you need to succeed in your studies.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an animal trainer or health officer, or trainee veterinary nurse. It will also give you the knowledge required to complete further studies in the field.
The courses are available in Greater Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. Also, there are limited spots in this program, so if you are one of the students who has been waiting for this program, hurry up and apply now!
