WORLD SURF LEAGUE
Talking about beaches, the Gold Coast is also the main destination to surf championships in Australia. 🏄♂️
The World Surf League (WSL) happens every year on the waves of these incredible beaches. Famous surfers like Kelly Slater, John John Florence, and Kolohe Andino competed in the last few years. The Brazilian surfers Gabriel Medina, Italo Ferreira (current champion), and Filipe Toledo were also on the competition and made the sands of the Gold Coast an arena for the Brazilian fans living there. Duranbah and Tweed Heads were some of the chosen places for the competition on the previous tours.

WHALE WATCHING

Every year, the whale watching season (usually from May to November) attracts lots of tourists on the Gold Coast. This unique experience takes 2.5-hour and offers a privileged view of the whales on their natural habitat.
